If having a naked laptop really bothers you, then you need to find a lovely way to keep it covered. Some laptops look cool all on their own. Other laptops just look boring and need a whole lot of spicing up. Either way it is always much better to have a customized laptop then just the same silver/black/white look that everyone else has. I ran across this adhesive laptop art piece over at Infectious that is just too cute to pass up!

I’m not much for politics. I am completely over all the political attack ads on tv. And if I have to endure another day of having every other d-list celebrity and not-even-in-my-county candidates call my house, then I really will have to hurl my phone off the roof of the tallest building I can find!

Go out and vote for somebody of your choosing - be a part of the process. Hell, I even encourage you to cancel out my vote! Then you can join me in looking forward to complaining about car ads on tv and carpet cleaning services calling on the phone! Yay!

A cute little booty

These may just replace my current winter booty choice in the upcoming months. I am not sure how well they will stand up to the ice and snow, but I don’t care! A girl’s gotta have some stand out shoes for the grey months. They are from United Nude and they are definitely the cutest boots I have seen in a while.

Pernod Fizz

This is a champagne drink with a very different flavor to it.

Ingredients:

1 oz Pernod
3 oz Champagne
1 oz mandarin juice
Crushed ice

Preparation:

Pour all ingredients into a wine flute
Garnish with a cherry and serve.

Makes 1 serving

Since my day (and that of oh so many others) has been dedicated to the new Apple notebooks, I thought it might be nice time for a somewhat Windows related post. These cute little teacups combine a well engineered three-fingered salute with tea - what a combo! Now you can Ctrl+Alt+Del with your pinkies up. So very definitely geeky chic.

Classic Bellini

A Bellini is a great drink to order when you want something cold and fruity, but still want to look sophisticated. There are about a million variations of this drink (even the classic version - go figure). I like to order these in the summer with a salad.

Ingredients:

4 white peaches (skinned, pitted and pureed)
1 bottle Prosecco or sparkling wine
Crushed ice

Preparation:

Pour peach puree over crushed ice into a blender.
Blend
Add bottle of Prosecco to blender.
Pulse lightly.
Pour into wine flutes

Makes 4 servings

Gamer Grub: First choice or last resort?

If the world didn’t end when Cheeseburger in a Can showed up on the market, then it certainly won’t end now. This is a “food” item that is catering to a target market that I just can’t seem to figure out. Who exactly are they trying to sell this stuff to? Is it lazy gamers or maybe neat freaks or or could it be post-apocalyptic people or possibly people who hate to prepare food? I think I figured it out - people who don’t have any clean dishes left in the house.

These would be the perfect choice for a meal when every single dish that I own is in the dishwasher and I am completely out of liquid dish soap so washing a dish or two by hand would also be completely out of the question. That has to be it - that has to be the niche that this product is catering to.

Here is the current list of all of the flavors:

Action Pizza: Pizza Cashews & Pitas, Tomato Sesame Sticks, Tomato Almonds, Cheese Pitas and Mozzarella Peanuts. (What exactly is a “pizza cashew”?)
Racing Wasabi: Wasabi Soy Almonds and Peanuts, Wasabi Peas, Honey Mustard Sesame Sticks and Pita Chips.
Strategy Chocolate: Almonds, Chocolate Raisins, Cherries, White Chocolate Chips.
Sports PB&J: Peanuts, Peanut Butter Chips, Strawberry Jelly Chips, Bread Cubes.

They only have the four flavors right now, but the creators of these snack foods have a blog post that asks for people to share their favorite flavor and/or lets you suggest more flavor combinations for them to make. I think they should add an order form for you to order your custom flavor combination and have it shipped directly to your house in whatever quantity that you desire.

I seriously think I want to try the Strategy Chocolate, but these are not available until 2009. So unless someone sends me some to test out and share, I’ll just have to wait until next year.
