The trouble with Easter

Normally, I don’t have any problems with Easter. Overall it is a pretty good holiday. My main focus at Easter is usually all the candy (especially the Peeps). But this year the sugary holiday appeared far more quickly than I was ready to deal with. While Easter was here and all the people around me were celebrating with sugary goodness, I was knee deep in tax related paperwork (ugh!). I was so busy with paperwork, that friends and family only received text messages instead of the usual Easter phone call. Last year was quite busy for me and I wasn’t able to keep all my papers as organized as I like them to be. Which meant everything just kind of got stacked up somewhere in a corner - which the cats promptly took over. So I spent what felt like weeks organizing and filing it all into the proper containers. I then spent another few days on creating the reports that help to make sense of it all. I am happy to report that as of today the corner of paper is now empty (the cats are not happy about it though), everything has been placed into the proper receptacle, and the tax related documentation has been delivered to my trusty accountant (I haven’t actually done my own taxes in over 10 years and I am a much happier person for it).

Posting should now resume here on the normal erratic schedule it has always been on…
