And you need a wire rack

I used to watch Mystery Science Theater 3000 every chance I could in my younger days. I would even have the TV tuned in for the full Turkey Day Marathons that would play. Watching MST3K was like watching bad movies with your friends - only Joel (later Mike) and the Bots were far funnier than anything we could come up with. Part of the fun was watching the “shorts” that were shown. These were some of the really bad movies that you were subjected to in the K-12 grades at school. I recently ran across a MetaFilter post on just that - MST3K: The Shorts. It was a pretty inclusive list. I am pretty sure it did not have ever single one, but it had enough to make me cringe and laugh all at the same time from the memories. One short I am pretty sure that I saw was “Blood Runs Red on the Highway,” it wasn’t in the list and I could be mistaken.

The list on the MetaFilter post was “shamelessly cribbed” from here, but appropriate credit is given and I can completely forgive that since he added all the video links to it that he could find.

In case you are wondering, the title for this post comes from Speech: Using Your Voice: 313, Earth vs the Spider.
